The F-15E Strike Eagle is a multirole strike aircraft of the F-15 Eagle family that is featured regularly in the Ace Combat series. Compared to the F-15C Eagle, the F-15E features improved avionics, conformal tanks, and multiple weapon hardpoints.
The first known deployment of the Strike Eagle was during the Belkan War. They were primarily fielded by the Belkan Air Force particularly during the middle stages of the conflict. Strike Eagles were used as escort craft for the flight of Bm-335 Lindwurm bombers that were equipped with nuclear warheads during the infamous Operation Ravage.
F-15Es were fielded during the Lighthouse War, again by the Erusean Air Force and Osea. Osean aircraft during the conflict had the ability to be fielded with a new tactical laser system. The most notable Erusean F-15E pilot was Samuel Everest, who was shot down by Trigger Over Artiglio Port during Operation Three of a Kind.[4]
On June 30, 2020, the F-15Es of Emmerian aces Talisman and Shamrock were showcased at a ceremony commemorating 25 years since the end of the Belkan War at Redmill Air Force Base in Osea, alongside other foreign air units. The Emmerian military had sent these aircraft among others after being invited by the Osean government.[5]
