The F-15S/MT Eagle+ is a variant of the F-15 S/MTD developed by General Resource sometime before 2040. Despite its age, it remains their primary combat aircraft due to its versatile design and high adaptability to any mission type.

Design[edit | edit source]

The F-15S/MT Eagle+ is a majorly upgraded F-15 Eagle, developed by General Resource prior to 2040. It features upgrades that allow it to wage war against even the latest aircraft in the COFFIN era, even though the basic design of the F-15 is very old.

It is mostly based on the F-15 ACTIVE, with foreplane canards (though in this plane's case, they are not an F/A-18's stabilators) and circular, 3D thrust vectoring exhaust nozzles[1] (despite the guidebook stating so, they do not actually vector in-game). It also has uprated, more powerful engines and an opaque, COFFIN-enabled cockpit. The outline of the cockpit resembles a 2-seater F-15, however it is unknown whether the F-15S/MT actually has seating for 2 occupants.

The aircraft's specifications are as follows:[1]

  • Length: 19.43 m (63.7 ft)
  • Width: 13.05 m (42.8 ft)
  • Height: 5.63 m (18.5 ft)
  • Weight: 36,740 kg (81,000 lb)
  • Top speed: 3,304 km/h (Mach 2.7; 2,053 mph; 1,784 kn)
  • Armor: Heavy

History[edit | edit source]

The F-15S/MT Eagle+ was used by many GRDF pilots. The most famous of these aces was Abyssal Dision, who used the aircraft prior to, and during the initial stages of, the Intercorporate War. It was later used by Nemo during its time in the GRDF, given along an F-16XA Sakerfalcon.[2]

Game Analysis[edit | edit source]

Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere[edit | edit source]

"The simple construction, high thrust-to-weight ratio, and the ability to adapt to all kinds of missions still makes the F-15 series a top of the line mainstay fighter. The F-15S/MT is an upgrade of the Eagle. A major characteristic is the addition of canards, which gives it a "three winged surface" shape. Additionally, it is equipped with more powerful engines with thrust vectoring nozzles resulting in high maneuverability."
