The Prize
The Prize is the 42nd mission of the Japanese version of Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere. It is the third mission along the Neucom (I) story arc.
Briefing
We've just heard that one of our recon satellites has fallen into the sea. A recovery squad is already on its way, but General Resource has already noticed the situation, and will make a play for the intel in the satellite. Cover the recovery squadron, and prevent the leak of classified info to General Resource.
Objectives
Initial
A fleet of 4 Convoy ships and a Carrier are the mission's primary targets. These must not be allowed to reach the downed Neucom satellite, or the mission will be a failure.
Mission Update
Once the enemy fleet has been desroyed, 4 Hydrofoils and 2 Convoy ships will appear. As with the initial targets, these must not be allowed to reach the satellite. If the enemy fighters destroyed the recovery squadron, the mission will end with Mission Over when the last of the secondary enemy fleet is destroyed. If any of the first recovery squadron survived, the mission will end with Mission Accomplished.

A Rank
A A Rank is obtained in this mission by destroying at least 24 enemies and having the first recovery squadron not be wiped out.
Debriefing
The recovery operation was a success! The satellite's intel was recovered safely.
