The first time Sol Squadron used the fighter was in Operation Two Pairs, when Sol 2 and Sol 3 assisted their leader, Sol 1, of which flew the more advanced Su-30SM. Multiple Osean fighters were shot down, but, due to the climate worsening in Yinshi Valley, the squadron was forced to retreat.
The second known deployment was in the final stages of Operation Giant's Step, the entire 5-man squadron was sent to Farbanti as an last resort for Erusea. All fighters were shot down, except for Sol 1, which managed to escape when radio communications stopped working.
In October 31, Sol 2 and 3 joined an Osean-Erusean coalition during Operation Daredevil, with the objective of destroying the last Arsenal Bird. Later, two ADF-11F RavenUAVs appeared, shooting down several fighters, although, Sol 2 and 3 managed to retreat. The next day, both pilots joined Strider Squadron and other fighters in Operation Hush in order to shoot down Hugin and Munin, ending the war.
In June 30, 2020, 4 replicas of the Su-30M2s used by Sol Squadron were showcased alongside an Sol 1's X-02S replica at Redmill Air Force Base during the Memorial Day 2020.

Notes
↑The "Flanker-F2" reporting name is used on the Ace Combat 7 official website's VR Mode page,[1] but does not appear in the release version of the game. The correct real-life reporting name is Flanker-G+; Flanker-F2 would instead be properly used for a derivative of the Su-37.
