Khesed Island

Khesed Island, or simply Khesed, is a large Emmerian island located off the west coast of Anea.[2] The island is home to the medieval city of Vitoze,[3] the snowy plain of Sipli Field[4] and Mount Marcello, where a massive Republic of Emmeria Army installation, Bartolomeo Fortress, is situated.[5]
History
Following the Invasion of Gracemeria in August 2015, the Emmerians steadily lost ground to the Estovakian offensive, largely due to the P-1112 Aigaion. Eventually, a large portion fled to Khesed and were pushed back to Vitoze. a city in the southwest corner of the island.[6]
On November 24, 2015, a Estovakian bombers attempted to bomb Campagna airport in Vitoze in an attempt to finish off the Emmerians. However, the bombing ended in failure due to the efforts of Garuda Team and other patrolling squadrons.[3]
After the battle of Vitoze, the Estovakian Air Force in Khesed was severely weakened. On November 27, the Emmerian tank units invaded Sipli Field in central Khesed. The Emmerian battalions and their air support were able to defeat the Estovakian forces at Sipli Field, forcing the remaining Estovakians on Khesed to retreat to Bartolomeo Fortress on Mount Marcello.[4]
On December 27, the Emmerians launched an offensive to recapture Bartolomeo Fortress. Despite the arrival of enemy reinforcements, including two members of Strigon Team, Bartolomeo Fortress was recaptured, and Khesed was once again under Emmerian control.[5] After the recapture of Bartolomeo Fortress, the Emmerians began preparations for a landing on the mainland. Khesed would not see any more battles for the rest of the war.[5]
