The Long-Range Air-to-Air Missile (LAAM in ACI and AC7, LRAA in Legacy) is a missile-type special weapon. It was introduced in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy and was later featured in Update 2.04 of Ace Combat Infinity and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
Overview
The weapon is known for having the longest range of any special weapon in the series. In Assault Horizon Legacy, the weapon can only be fired once at a time. In Infinity and Ace Combat 7, it can be fired in salvos of two. In Ace Combat 7, the LAAM used by the F-14D Super Tomcat and the F-14A Tomcat is the AIM-54 Phoenix. The LAAM for the FB-22 Strike Raptor is the modified version of the AIM-120 AMRAAM. As for the Su-35S, it is the Vympel R-77PD, for the MiG-31, it is the Vympel R-33, and for Typhoon and Rafale M, it is the MBDA Meteor.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown
- "Extremely long-range air-to-air missiles. Though their homing capabilities are limited, if the target evades one, a decent pilot can still pick the target off."
