Irena Dvornik
Second Lieutenant Irena Dvornik,[b] callsign Vega, and also known as "The Goddess of Victory", was an ace pilot in the Estovakian Air Force and member of the Eastern Faction during the Estovakian Civil War.
She is one of the named aces found in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, she appears in Mission 6 of the game if played on Expert difficulty or higher. Her livery for the aircraft becomes available for purchase after shooting her down.[1]
Biography
Estovakian Civil War
The daughter of Eastern Faction leader Gustav Dvornik, she was a prominent ace pilot of the group. Her looks and relation with her father led her to become the "poster girl" of the forces opposing the Lyes United Front, boosting the morale of her allies. Although her records did not measure up to those of other ace pilots, this did not affect her reputation.
Emmeria-Estovakia War
In 2015, Dvornik participated in the Emmeria-Estovakia War, where she was revered by fellow pilots as the "Goddess of Victory". However, as the Emmerian forces pushed back towards east Anea, Gustav became increasingly worried about her, continuously trying to transfer her out of the battlefield. However, she stubbornly refused to follow her father's orders and remained active on the front lines.
During the standoff in Silvat Town, she was part of the force defending the Estovakian front base, and moved to engage the Emmerians as the siege was finally broken. She was found and killed by the Garuda Team, along with a detachment of pilots sent to intercept them.[1]
