Mission Co-Op is a multiplayer mode in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, serving as the equivalent of the Co-op Battle DLC mode from Ace Combat 6.
Introduction
This mode sees players, up to a group of three, joining to take on a series of eight remastered versions of missions from the main campaign. The host will always be Warwolf 1 or Shooter 1, the second player will always be Warwolf 3 or Shooter 2, and the third player will always be Warwolf 4 or Shooter 3. The AI will control Guts for jet missions, and Shooter 4 helicopter missions. Before each mission, players will be able to choose from a variety of aircraft and color schemes. However, the available aircraft for players are limited to what the single player campaign missions offer. Skills for multiplayer modes are available for use and are fully functional. If a player is shot down during the mission, he will respawn in several seconds. But if all players are shot down before any of them can respawn, the game will restart in the nearest checkpoint.
The enemies featured in Co-Op are stronger than those in single-player mode. If one player is engaged in Dog Fight Mode, the others can approach their target and engage in DFM, enhancing their combat capabilities. The same applies to Air Strike Mode, as assisting an ally engaged in an attack run will allow one to follow them from behind. Named aces also make appearance exclusive to this mode. Aces often have very high mobility, requiring the players to work together in a single DFM.

Based after the single player campaign mission Home Front. The players work together with the United States Air Force to fend off the remnants of NRF in an attack against Miami. This is the only mission whose ending is different from the campaign mode. In the last part of the mission, Guts doesn't get shot down by Markov. Instead, Markov appears in Miami leading his own Akula Squadron which fly identical PAK FAs. Akula Squadron has very high coordination and mobility. To engage them easier, players will have to work together in DFM since engaging an Akula Squadron member alone will often result in getting engaged by his teammate.
