Kalana Steppes
The Kalana Steppes are a desert region located in eastern Aurelia.
History
Located in Aurelia's Lenal County, the Kalana Steppes were a desertic rangeland region located northwest of Santa Elva. Prior to the modern era, the area was the home of an ancient civilization that erected several fortifications across the steppes, which fell into disuse and were eventually abandoned. A makeshift freeway ran through the region, serving as a connection with nearby metropolitan areas.[citation needed]
Aurelian War
Following the liberation of Santa Elva by Aurelia, remnant Leasathian forces regrouped at Kalana Steppes and were planning an attack on Santa Elva in addition to receiving aid from forces at Sachana Air Base.[1] Gryphus Squadron was deployed to eliminate all forces in the area. Despite heavy opposition as well as reinforcements from Sachana Air Base, all Leasathian forces were destroyed, preventing any future attacks on Santa Elva.[2]
