"Invasion of Gracemeria" is the first mission of the Ace of Aces mini-campaign from Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation.

Plot

The mission follows the same plot of the original version: the player must defend the Emmerian capital of Gracemeria from the Estovakian onslaught.

Part 1 (Enemy attack)

In the first half of the mission, the main targets are Estovakian UH-9 helicopters and B-52 bombers. The standard enemies escorting the main aircraft (F-4E Phantom II and Mirage 2000-5) are assisted by F-14D Super Tomcats.

After the main targets are eliminated, the player will be attacked by a F-14D formation, named "Red", which is followed by the F/A-18F "Green" and F-15E "Blue" squadrons. Afterwards, more bombers will appear over Gracemeria, and a small destroyer formation will appear in King's Bay. Following the second bomber/chopper wave, a formation of C-17A Globemaster III transports will approach from the west, which cannot be targeted normally. When passing over Gracemeria AFB, they will release airborne tanks marked Red, and become secondary targets themselves. When the tanks either are destroyed or hit the ground, a second transport formation will enter the airspace, releasing Green tanks over the base.

When the airborne tanks have been dealt with, an F/A-18F squadron named "Incubus" and a Rafale M team "Succubus" will attack the player. When the targets are taken out, a cutscene will take place.

Part 2 (Strigon assault)

After the cutscene, the P-1112 Aigaion and the Strigon Team will appear over the city. The Aigaion itself, invincible during this mission, will fire Nimbus missiles around the player's position in a circle. Furthermore, Strigon leader Victor Voychek uses a CFA-44 Nosferatu; however, unlike Ilya Pasternak's, this one behaves like a normal enemy fighter with a large health increase, taking five to six missile impacts to destroy,

When all Strigon aircraft have been destroyed, the mission is accomplished.
