An Anti-air gun, usually referred to as an AA Gun, is one of the main types of anti-air weapons, utilizing autocannons to shoot down aircraft. Their range is shorter when compared to Surface-to-Air Missiles, however they boast a very high rate of fire, making them an effective weapon against low-flying aircraft.
AA guns can be either stationary, self propelled, or mounted on ships or aerial fortresses
