The Papillon Project was a secret satellite program performed by Wernher and Noah Enterprises to create the MQ-90L and QFA-44 Carmilla, as well as to create a low-orbit satellite to control both units.[1]
Etymology
"Papillon" is French for "butterfly." As depicted in the post-Operation Bunker Shot cutscene, the project logo, displayed on the satellite and the QFA-44 units, is a butterfly emblem.
