KF-C7 in the Model Display

The Model Display is a gameplay mode featured in Ace Combat 2. It allows players to view both playable and enemy aircraft models in a full 360º panorama.

Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies and all subsequent Ace Combat games superseded the Model Display by allowing players to display playable aircraft in the hangar.

Description

Ace Combat 2

The mode is unlocked after earning all medals in the game by shooting down all named aircraft. All fixed-wing aircraft, including non-playable ones, can be viewed in this mode.

While not part of the Model Display, players can also view aircraft models in the game's Music Player, which displays all planes in a fixed order during playback.

Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere

The Japanese version of the game did not include a normally-accessible Model Display. However, it can be accessed in a hidden bonus menu in Disc 1 accessible through cheats. All aircraft can be viewed, except the R-531 Mobura, UI-4052 Cralias and UI-4053 Sphyrna.[1]
