"A modernized multirole support fighter based on the structure of the F-2. The conformal tank on the top of the craft expands its combat radius, as well as improves its armament payload and overall offensive capabilities in protracted battles compared to earlier models. Additionally, the craft has been retrofitted with the latest radar and high-performance data link system, affording it superior air support and dogfighting capabilities as an electronic-warfare aircraft. Along with its ability to handle interdictions at sea, it has improved multiple-target air-to-air capabilities and is suited to a variety of mission types and environments."
