Ace Combat: Assault Horizon/Callsigns
Callsigns are a new multiplayer concept introduced in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. They are codenames used by lead players to represent their squadron in battle. Before each match, the squadron leader can change their flight's callsign through the "Call Sign Settings" option. Players start with a basic "Alpha"-type callsign. Additional callsigns can be unlocked by achieving objectives, such as earning a particular MVP.
In all modes excluding Deathmatch, a player can use DFM Support or ASM Support when nearby another player with the identical callsign who's engaged in DFM or ASM (per aircraft capabilities). When DFM/ASM Support is allowed, the directional buttons show at the bottom of the screen, indicating the respective support option. Pressing the up button will engage support.
List of callsigns
Below is a list of the callsigns, alongside their in-game descriptions. Many callsigns are an allusion to player and enemy squadrons from previous games, and their related feats.
Callsigns marked with an asterisk (*) unlock the respective squadron's special color on their iconic aircraft when the callsign is unlocked (could be listed as Color 3, 4, or 5). For example, unlocking the Mobius callsign unlocks Color 4 for the F-22A Raptor, which sports the ISAF colors and the Mobius insignia. These colors can then be customized into new color sets.

- Unlocking the Wardog callsign comes with the Razgriz paint scheme on the F-14D Super Tomcat, rather than the Wardog paint scheme on the F-14A Tomcat.
