Editing tips

Here are some tips for editing.

• Be bold - do not ask anybody for permission to create a page or upload an image. Do it yourself.
• Use of perspectives - in character/event articles, use an "in-story" perspective (ie. "Jack was a hero of the First War and the leader of the Nox Squadron"). For mission/aircraft articles, use a "meta" or "outside story" perspective ("the F-16C is first unlocked after completing mission 03.)
• Correct use of grammar - remember to use correct spelling when editing. Use American spelling whenever possible, although there are some exceptions (for example, colour and color can be used interchangeably.)
• Article format
  • Always make sure that any articles you create begin with a lead-in or introductory section.
  • In aircraft and weapon articles, follow the new format. See the B-1B Lancer page for an example.
  • Always bolden the article title when necessary (F-16C, Battle of Moscow, XMAA, etc.)
  • Use templates adequately. Templates are creations used in certain topics. There are variants for aircraft, weapons, events, levels and characters.
