List of Confirmed Aircraft

Has anyone from Project Aces stated these planes will be in the game? Just because they appear in a trailer doesn't mean they've been "confirmed". Especially considering how far away we are from any kind of release. I think we should remove that list, or at the very least rename it to something like "Planes Spotted in the Trailers" or something to that effect. The Captain ^(radio) 21:22, October 13, 2010 (UTC)

F-14--Still Possible?

I've been looking at the Assault Horizon pages and trailers and all, and from the looks of things, it appears that the aircraft listings will be of current/near-future service planes from the US, Russia, etc. With this, I thought it possible that they'd finally toss the F-14 Tomcat family out on it's hind end- but then I thought this: If there's an honest, major foreign invasion on American soil (there's at least ONE set in Miami with the actual Russian Air Force), between the seriousness of the situation and the urgency to keep American shores protected, would it be possible that they might bring some of the remaining F-14s that haven't yet been destroyed back into emergency service? Last I remember checking, the F-14 was largely retired since the F/A-18 Hornet line was capable of doing the Tomcat's jobs (and a little more) for a significantly lower cost per unit (as opposed to the F-14 simply being an inferior aircraft for its role in the modern age). Given the possibility of field upgrades to avionics and whatnot, anyone else think it's possible we could see this legendary supersonic aluminum tube (among possibly other retired classics) in the skies once more? F 35 variant

It could be possible that the F 35 seen in the trailer is a different variant. After all, there are 3 different types of the f 35. Carrier born, Conventional take off/ landing, and short take off/ vertical landing. Blahmarrow 16:09, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

The model seen in the TGS trailer is clearly an F-35B. You can tell because of it's underslung machine gun - no other Lightning II model has a ventral machine gun. ProtoStealth 17:41, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Firefox

First of all, its current designation is PAK FA or T-50. Secondly, the news that NATO dubbed it "Firefox" was a hoax, since NATO has not, in fact, given the plane any designation yet. Thirdly, it is highly unlikely that PAK FA will appear in the game because Namco has to acquire the permission to use the plane from Sukhoi and the details of its development are still a closely guarded Russian military secret at the moment. Actually the Su-50 (yes is Su-50, T50 is the prototype as T means some world like that in russia and the Fencer prototypes for exemple was also designated with T) could be in the ACAH as the F-35 still have secret specs and is in the game User:Cypher.3 Ura!! It's still called T-50, not Su-50. It has no NATO codename currently Cyph.

"T" stands for "Triangular" (it starts with "T" in Russian, too) and describes the backward-swept wing design of PAK FA. "S" stands for forward-swept wings, therefore Su-47 Berkut was known as "S-37" before it acquired an official designation. --Koveras Alvane 17:17, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

SU-35 Super Flanker

If you take a look at the close range assault trailer at 1:23,there will a Sukhoi fighter with a cloud blue type of camo. In AC:5 the SU-35 also has the same camo, is it possible they're the same?

Wouldn't that go for the same as the F-2A as we only seen a model of it from the interview and there is no ingame footage to prove that the plane will be in AC:AH. I'm guessing we are presuming since Namco is a Japanese company and that the plane is from Japan that they would obviously include it; however as it stands right now there is no evidence to prove the plane is ingame. When I received the rough translation it said at the end please select one aircraft but it is a rough translation; an actual translation would be better.

My younger brother is right the B-1B is in the game. However he forgot that I have Japanese buddies from playing AC6 online. But it's your decision whether or not to include this aircraft or wait for more information. Also sorry if my younger brother was rash he tends to do that to people.

Now the download copy for PC had been available to be purchased on Amazon.com website, however, the DVD-printed copy is nowhere to be found for now. Strangely, there's nothing about PC software on Amazon.co.jp.

Many players had reported the download copies cannot run properly on PC.
