Gram Squadron
The Gram Squadron was an Erusean Air Force squadron that saw deployment in the Lighthouse War.
History
On May 30, 2019, Gram Squadron took part in Operation Dual Wielder over Chopinburg Rainforest, where it prevented IUN-PKF fighters from securing the airspace. The entire squadron was ultimately shot down in the ensuing battle.[1]
On September 2, 2019, Gram Squadron engaged the Cyclops and Strider Squadrons over Sierraplata in an attempt to defend the IRBM silos, but failed when they were all destroyed by Osean bombers.[3]
On September 19, they defended Farbanti from invading Osean forces, but ultimately failed as the city was captured with the death of several Erusean leaders.[4]
Following the destruction of Usea's satellite network, the squadron allied themselves with Erusea's conservative faction. On October 10, 2019, they escorted a formation of bombers attempting to level Tyler Island, but failed when all bombers were shot down by Cyclops and Strider Squadrons.[2]
Trivia
- The squadron's name may be a reference to Gram from Norse mythology, the sword wielded by Sigurd, who used it to kill the dragon Fafnir.
