Geofon
The Geofon was an Erusean Navy aircraft carrier that served during the Continental War. She was one of the capital ships of the formidable Aegir Fleet.
History
The ship's history prior to 2004 is unknown; however, by the end of the year the Geofon had been deployed to Comberth Harbor with the rest of the Aegir Fleet. By November, the Independent State Allied Forces discovered that the fleet would be part of a planned strike on North Point to destroy the ISAF's GHQ. ISAF's subsequent interdiction missions made the task of refueling the fleet impossible, and many of its ships were stuck at anchor in the harbor.[1]
On November 23, 2004, the ISAF launched Operation Rough Seas with the goal of sinking the Aegir Fleet while it was vulnerable. At 1200hrs, the Geofon was sailing south away from the harbor when ISAF fighters entered Comberth's airspace. In response, the Geofon launched several F-14A Tomcats and F/A-18C Hornets to defend itself and the other Erusean vessels. The carrier was ultimately hit by missile fire and sank in the waters outside the harbor's entrance.[1]
