In the Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown VR Demo, Echo Team was the player's squadron in the Osean Maritime Defense Force allied with the IUN. The player assumed the role of Echo 2. The squadron was tasked with engaging Erusean pilots over Fort Grays Island.[1]
As of October 2017, Echo Team was removed from Ace Combat 7; it has been replaced by the returning Mobius 1 and other allies from Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies and Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War.[2]
