President David Hamilton served as the President of the United States of America during the New Russian Federation uprising. He makes a single appearance in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon during "Home Front".

Biography

During the attack on Miami, Hamilton gave a public emergency broadcast to the country. AWACS Magic patched in the broadcast for the pilots of Task Force 108 to hear:

"As I speak, our nation is under attack by a group of renegade Russian pilots. They are determined to kill our innocent civilians with a powerful air-launched weapon. I have personally directed the Air Force and other military branches to intercept these criminals. They have orders to shoot them all down before they harm our country. This is a dark and difficult day. But at the end, we will persevere. To the brave men and women defending us. Godspeed."

Prior to the broadcast, depending on player action, Hamilton may speak directly to William Bishop, personally requesting that he put an end to the threat posed by the New Russian Federation.

In real life

Two politicians named David Hamilton served in October 2011, the date of the release, in American politics: a United States federal judge on the Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and a county administrator for Hernando County, Florida. Whether Jim DeFelice wrote one of them having won the 2012 Presidential election, or simply made up the name, is unknown. In reality, neither ran for President in 2012.
