C-1 Trader
The C-1 Trader is a transport plane featured in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War.
History
Although the full extent of its service history is unknown, the Trader had seen some use by Osea and Yuktobania.[1]
The most notable pilot of the aircraft was former Belkan ace Wolfgang Buchner, who utilized it during his time in exile at Sand Island Air Force Base as a mechanic under the alias "Peter N. Beagle" of the 703rd Maintenance Company.[1]
At the beginning of the Circum-Pacific War, Buchner flew the C-1 during Yuktobania's failed bombing of Sand Island[2] and returned to base the next morning.[3] During Operation Crossroad, Jack Bartlett and members of the Yuktobanian resistance commandeered a Y.A.F. C-1 to bring rescued prime minister Seryozha Viktrovich Nikanor to safety from the military government.[4]

Trivia
- The C-1 is the only aircraft in Ace Combat 5 that is referred to by its designation in dialogue. During Heartbreak One, when Bartlett is taxiing down the runway, a Yuktobanian soldier may say, "C-1 moving towards the runway.".
- The Cyrillic word СЮР is seen painted on the tail of the C-1 in "Heartbreak One". It is an abbreviation of Союз Юктобанийских Республик, the Russian transliteration of "Union of Yuktobanian Republics".
