Was "Ace Combat Zero : The Belkan War" made in a haste? I couldn't help but wonder about the less number of mission it has or the inability to change your wingman's plane. There are also less number of planes than the "Ace Combat 5 : The Unsung War". The storyline too is put up in a summary. Brett Thompson does the narration and shows clips from his interview of several Belkan aces who are all focus on the mercenary Cipher rather than giving us the big picture about the war. It would have been fun if we get to see some views about what happened inside the Valais air base during the war; about what happened between Cipher and Pixy, the Ustio base staff and the other mercenaries like PJ stationed at Valais air base like in the Ace Combat 5 : The Unsung War. But I rather liked the obscurity about Cipher and everything because it gives us a sense of mystery giving us room to speculate. But I'd really appreciate if only we could at least change my wingman's plane. A squadron of the same unit flying different planes seem to me like a total misfits assigned out of nowhere.
