"Hundreds of hours of tuning have transformed this aircraft into a superstar. Although a little difficult to control, it performs like no other. A true example of what can be achieved when hidden potential is realized."
― Hangar description

The Su-47 -THE iDOLM@STER: Miki-EX- is a downloadable variant of the Su-47 Berkut in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, part of the THE iDOLM@STER aircraft series.

Description

The Miki-EX aircraft provides a small increase in air-to-ground/air capabilities and speed, while maximizing mobility, while defense is slightly lowered and stability suffers a massive cut. Missile payload is decreased from 250 to 159, while SP weapons payload is increased. The Miki-EX's most notable feature is its maneuverability; when going over 600 miles, the aircraft gains extreme mobility, allowing it to drift in mid-air similar to the CFA-44 Nosferatu. This increase in mobility even allows a skilled pilot to perform a Herbst maneuver by performing a High-G turn at full speed.

The Su-47 Miki-EX has garnered negative reception from the AC community, as the aircraft's physics-defying mobility, combined with its high QAAM count allows a pilot to rack up thousands of points.

Trivia

  • The nature and performance of the aircraft, particularly in comparison with the original Su-33 are an allusion to a scene from the 2007 Xbox 360 adaptation of THE iDOLM@STER, where Miki is saved by the protagonist character from being hit by a speeding truck, who is sent to a hospital. Shocked by the incident, the normally aloof Miki undergoes a drastic change of personality and becomes a hard-working idol known as "Awakened Miki".[1]
  • A 1/72 model kit of the Miki-EX was released by Hasegawa in October 2010.
