Gadgets

Below is a list of special gadgets users can enable on their preferences page, as defined by the definitions. This overview provides easy access to the system message pages that define each gadget's description and code.

Utilities    [View description]

• MultiUpload — enable optional uploading of multiple images through Special:Upload; note that the description template will apply to all files, and files can only be renamed on your local machine or after uploading  (View description | Export)

• Collapse Transcript TOCs — collapses the table of contents on Transcript pages by default  (View description | Export)

  Enabled for everyone by default.
• Compare Link — In page history logs, this gadget changes the "compare selected revisions" button to a link to allow for better navigation and usability. See MediaWiki bug T18165 for more information.  (View description | Export)

• Display Contribution Count — adds a simple tally to the top of Contributions and History lists to note the total number of revisions currently being displayed  (View description | Export)

• Check Image Foreign Use — adds a "List Foreign Uses" link to File: pages that displays other language wikis using the file  (View description | Export)

• Null Edit Button — adds a "Null edit" option to the "More" dropdown menu to update a page's listing in categories and special pages; click here for more information  (View description | Export)

Cosmetics    [View description]

• Hide Sidebar Toggle — adds a toggle to hide the left sidebar on desktop and tablet devices  (View description | Export)

• Small Parenthetical in Page Titles — Reduce the size and color of parentheticals in page titles ("AC5" in Kei Nagase (AC5))  (View description | Export)

• ACES07 Regular — change the wiki's font to a fan-made recreation of the Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown interface font, made by HoshinoComet and ElectronicOldMen (does not apply to all elements and may cause visual glitches)  (View description | Export)

• Old Poll Hover — add a hover effect to Project:Polls to show the percentage of votes each option received  (View description | Export)

• Hide Clear Cache — hides the message on JS and CSS pages instructing you to clear your cache after updating (users still need to clear your cache after these pages are updated!)  (View description | Export)

• Notification Bubble — replaces the number of notifications in the header with a small bubble  (View description | Export)

• RosaVision™ — enables the April Fools' 2024 "RosaVision™" prank all year long  (View description | Export)

• Force Special:Upload — replace modals for uploading files to force users to use Special:Upload, ensuring they use the file description template and see the warning text  (View description | Export)

Danger Zone    [View description]

• Disable Page Previews — Page Previews are currently experimental and buggy. Until their issues are resolved, this gadget disables them by default. Turning this gadget off will enable Page Previews, but be aware that they are not fully ready yet.  (View description | Export)
