Sortie Fuel
Sortie Fuel was a gameplay system unique to Ace Combat Infinity that restricted the player's ability to play missions, similar to stamina systems in gacha games. All Online Co-Op and Team Deathmatch missions required the use of at least one Sortie Fuel per session. If the player did not purchase the Unlimited Campaign Play Ticket, each campaign mission also required using one Sortie Fuel per session. Test Flight and Free Flight were exempt from Sortie Fuel requirements (although access to Free Flight required purchasing the Free Flight Ticket & Bonus Item Set).
Types
There were two types of Sortie Fuel: Supplied Fuel and Stocked Fuel.
Supplied Fuel was automatically given to players for free at a rate of one fuel every four hours. Players could normally only hold three Supplied Fuel at any given time. When a Forced Sortie x 6 event began, the Supplied Fuel carry limit increased to six and all players received an additional three Supplied Fuel (i.e. players who had 0/3 Supplied Fuel would then have 3/6, and players who had 3/3 Supplied Fuel would then have 6/6). When a Forced Sortie x 6 event ended, the Supplied Fuel carry limit returned to three and all players lost any Supplied Fuel they were holding that went above the limit (i.e. players who had 0/6 Supplied Fuel would then have 0/3, and players who had 6/6 Supplied Fuel would then have 3/3).
Stocked Fuel was earned from challenges, received from random drops, or purchased with real money. Stocked Fuel had no carry limit, but it would not restore itself after being used.
Using Stocked Fuel instead of Supplied Fuel would award slightly extra credits and apply some bonus research to the aircraft the player used in the mission. There were no effects on the mission itself depending on the fuel type the player used.
Forced Sortie
Forced Sortie was a time-limited feature that allowed players to earn more rewards by spending more than one fuel per online mission. Initially, Forced Sortie was only available during weekends and allowed players to spend up to three fuel per mission. Some Forced Sortie events were extended or took place during the middle of the week, and some Forced Sortie events allowed using up to six fuel per mission. Starting in April 2016, Forced Sortie became a permanent feature, with Forced Sortie x 3 on weekdays and Forced Sortie x 6 on weekends.
Forced Sortie was optional; players could choose to spend only one fuel per mission and would not be affected by Forced Sortie. Challenges did not take Forced Sortie into account when tracking progress and still tracked each mission play as a single mission. Players could use both Supplied Fuel and Stocked Fuel in the same mission, as long as the sum of fuel remained within the Forced Sortie limit.

Prices
Discounts
One-week-long discounts on Stocked Fuel took place sporadically to promote certain tournaments in Infinity. Typically, these discounts reduced the prices of 11 Stocked Fuel and 60 Stocked Fuel in all regions by 20%.
As part of the PlayStation Plus subscription service, Ace Combat Infinity offered the following benefits to Japanese PlayStation Plus users from August 22 to August 26, 2014:[1]
- 50% off the 5, 10+1, 30+5, and 50+10 Stocked Fuel packs (one time only each)
- Free Rookie Pack
