For the military ranks used primarily in multiplayer, see Rank.

A Clear Rank (rating in Ace Combat Advance) is a letter grade assigned to the player based on their mission performance. This feature was first introduced in Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere and has appeared in every Ace Combat game since, except Ace Combat: Northern Wings.

The player is assigned their Clear Rank at the end of a mission, typically during the debriefing; Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies was the only game that showed the Clear Rank on the head-up display. The player is sometimes rewarded with bonus points depending on their rank, as well as medals for earning high ranks in all missions.

Different games have different Clear Ranks available. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon is the only game with different Clear Ranks depending on the game's region. In Northern Wings, instead of Clear Ranks, the player is awarded stars based on optional objectives.
