Lord Alberto Lawrence is a member of the Emmerian royal family and descendant of King Aurelius II.
Lord Lawrence's actions prior to the Ulysses Impact Event sufficiently prepared Emmeria for the impending catastrophe and ultimately saved the lives of countless Anean and Usean refugees.
Biography
Early life
As a child, Lord Lawrence grew up in spending a lot of time in Gracemeria Castle. He often played in the castle and explored its extensive underground tunnel system, finding locations where he could play in secret.[1]
Ulysses Impact Event

The Federation of Central Usea's refusal to modify Stonehenge following the International Astronomical Union's announcement that the Ulysses 1994XF04 would impact Anea, sparked continent-wide protests against the two organizations. In Emmeria, the uproar was extensive, however, Lord Alberto Lawrence began gathering support from across the world and managed to calm down the citizens.[1]
Lord Lawrence, using his influence, appealed to the Emmerian government for the domestic acceptance of Ulysses refugees, and convinced them to construct a network of underground shelters across the country to protect the population from the impact. By 1999, a total of 16 underground shelters were constructed in Gracemeria alone. Lord Lawrence was also responsible for the construction of the shelter underneath Gracemeria Castle, citing its positioning and elaborate tunnel systems as ideal for protection. During this period, he advocated cooperation among neighboring nations, especially nations already working with the royal family.[1]
The Emmerian government, fully supporting Lord Lawrence, devised a comprehensive relief and evacuation plan which prioritized citizens in areas most likely to be struck. Refugees were transported with the help of the Emmerian Air Force, Emmerian Navy, and other international humanitarian aid organizations. He also advocated that the royal families of other nations construct shelters underneath their castles as well, and it did not take long before nations around the world answered his call.[1]
