"A mid-range air-to-air missile equipped on attack helicopters. Its guidance system makes it effective against high speed aircraft."
― In-game description

The Air-to-Air Missile is a special weapon exclusive to helicopters. It is the second available weapon of the AH-64D Apache Longbow and the Mi-24 Hind, but is replaced by the SAAM as the anti-aircraft weapon of the Ka-50 Hokum.

As its name imples, the AAM is designed to counter airborne threats, such as fighters and other helicopters. The weapon has a lock-on guidance system, which requires the pilot to track and face the desired target until the firing reticle turns red.
