Celebrations for the 30th Anniversary of the Ace Combat franchise began on June 30, 2025, exactly 30 years after the release of the first game. New announcements included a re-release of Air Combat 22 under the Arcade Archives brand, a 30th anniversary edition of ACE COMBAT/S THE SYMPHONY, and the release of the ACE COMBAT Original Soundtrack.

Background

Two months prior to the anniversary, Kono remarked that it felt as if the 25th Anniversary had just happened and lamented that it occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. He stated he wanted to make the 30th Anniversary a much larger celebration.
